وہي تو ہے جس نے سورج کو روشن اور چاند کو منور بنايا اور چاند کي منزليں مقرر کيں تاکہ تم برسوں کا شمار اور (کاموں کا) حساب معلوم کرو. يہ (سب کچھ) خدا نے تدبير سے پيدا کيا ہے. سمجھنے والوں کے ليے وہ اپني آياتيں کھول کھول کر بيان فرماتا ہے10:5

10:5 He it is who has made the sun a [source of] radiant light and the moon a light [reflected], and has determined for it phases so that you might know how to compute the years and to measure [time]. None of this has God created without [an inner] truth. Clearly does He spell out these messages unto people of [innate] knowledge:10:5

10:5 It is He Who made the sun to be a shining glory and the moon to be a light (of beauty), and measured out stages for her; that ye might know the number of years and the count (of time). Nowise did Allah create this but in truth and righteousness. (Thus) doth He explain His Signs in detail, for those who understand.10:5
