 وَقَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ لَمَّا قُضِيَ الأَمْرُ إِنَّ اللّهَ وَعَدَكُمْ وَعْدَ الْحَقِّ وَوَعَدتُّكُمْ فَأَخْلَفْتُكُمْ وَمَا كَانَ لِيَ عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَانٍ إِلاَّ أَن دَعَوْتُكُمْ فَاسْتَجَبْتُمْ لِي فَلاَ تَلُومُونِي وَلُومُواْ أَنفُسَكُم مَّا أَنَاْ بِمُصْرِخِكُمْ وَمَا أَنتُمْ بِمُصْرِخِيَّ إِنِّي كَفَرْتُ بِمَآ أَشْرَكْتُمُونِ مِن قَبْلُ إِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ 14:22

جب (حساب کتاب کا) کام فيصلہ ہوچکے گا تو شيطان کہے گا (جو) وعدہ خدا نے تم سے کيا تھا (وہ تو) سچا (تھا) اور (جو) وعدہ ميں نے تم سے کيا تھا وہ جھوٹا تھا. اور ميرا تم پر کسي طرح کا زور نہيں تھا. ہاں ميں نے تم کو (گمراہي اور باطل کي طرف) بلايا تو تم نے (جلدي سے اور بےدليل) ميرا کہا مان ليا. تو (آج) مجھے ملامت نہ کرو. اپنے آپ ہي کو ملامت کرو. نہ ميں تمہاري فرياد رسي کرسکتا ہوں اور نہ تم ميري فرياد رسي کرسکتے ہو. ميں اس بات سے انکار کرتا ہوں کہ تم پہلے مجھے شريک بناتے تھے. بےشک جو ظالم ہيں ان کے ليے درد دينے والا عذاب ہے 14:22

 14:22 And when everything will have been decided, Satan will say: "Behold, God promised you something that was bound to come true! I, too, held out [all manner of] promises to you -but I deceived you. Yet I had no power at all over you: I but called you-and you responded unto me. Hence, blame not me, but blame yourselves. It is not for me to respond to your cries, nor for you to respond to mine: for, behold, I have [always] refused to admit that there was any truth in your erstwhile belief that I had a share in God's divinity." Verily, for all evildoers there is grievous suffering in store.14:22

 14:22 And Satan will say when the matter is decided: "It was Allah Who gave you a promise of Truth: I too promised, but I failed in my promise to you. I had no authority over you except to call you but ye listened to me: then reproach not me, but reproach your own souls. I cannot listen to your cries, nor can ye listen to mine. I reject your former act in associating me with Allah. For wrong-doers there must be a grievous penalty."14:22
