أُولَـئِكَ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ يَبْتَغُونَ إِلَى رَبِّهِمُ الْوَسِيلَةَ أَيُّهُمْ أَقْرَبُ وَيَرْجُونَ رَحْمَتَهُ وَيَخَافُونَ عَذَابَهُ إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ كَانَ مَحْذُورًا 17:57 |

يہ لوگ جن کو (خدا کے سوا) پکارتے ہيں وہ خود اپنے پروردگار کے ہاں ذريعہ (تقرب) تلاش کرتے رہتے ہيں کہ کون ان ميں (خدا کا) زيادہ مقرب ہوتا ہے اور اس کي رحمت کے اميدوار رہتے ہيں اور اس کے عذاب سے خوف رکھتے ہيں. بےشک تمہارے پروردگار کا عذاب ڈرنے کي چيز ہے17:57

17:57 Those [saintly beings] whom they invoke are themselves striving to obtain their Sustainer's favour - [even] those among them who are closest [to Him] - hoping for His grace and dreading His chastisement: for, verily, thy Sustainer's chastisement is something to beware of!17:57
