 وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ اسْجُدُوا لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُوا إِلَّا إِبْلِيسَ كَانَ مِنَ الْجِنِّ فَفَسَقَ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِ أَفَتَتَّخِذُونَهُ وَذُرِّيَّتَهُ أَوْلِيَاء مِن دُونِي وَهُمْ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ بِئْسَ لِلظَّالِمِينَ بَدَلًا 18:50

اور جب ہم نے فرشتوں کو حکم ديا کہ آدم کو سجدہ کرو تو سب نے سجدہ کيا مگر ابليس (نے نہ کيا) وہ جنات ميں سے تھا تو اپنے پروردگار کے حکم سے باہر ہوگيا. کيا تم اس کو اور اس کي اولاد کو ميرے سوا دوست بناتے ہو. حالانکہ وہ تمہارے دشمن ہيں (اور شيطان کي دوستي) ظالموں کے لئے (خدا کي دوستي کا) برا بدل ہے18:50
