 اللّهُ لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ لاَ تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلاَ نَوْمٌ لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِهِ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلاَ يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلاَّ بِمَا شَاء وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَلاَ يَؤُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ 2:255

خدا (وہ معبود برحق ہے کہ) اس کے سوا کوئي عبادت کے لائق نہيں زندہ ہميشہ رہنے والا اسے نہ اونگھ آتي ہے نہ نيند جو کچھ آسمانوں ميں اور جو کچھ زمين ميں ہيں سب اسي کا ہے کون ہے جو اس کي اجازت کے بغير اس سے (کسي کي) سفارش کر سکے جو کچھ لوگوں کے روبرو ہو رہا ہے اور جو کچھ ان کے پيچھے ہوچکا ہے اسے سب معلوم ہے اور وہ اس کي معلومات ميں سے کسي چيز پر دسترس حاصل نہيں کر سکتے ہاں جس قدر وہ چاہتا ہے (اسي قدر معلوم کرا ديتا ہے) اس کي بادشاہي (اور علم) آسمان اور زمين سب پر حاوي ہے اور اسے ان کي حفاظت کچھ بھي دشوار نہيں وہ بڑا عالي رتبہ اور جليل القدر ہے2:255

 2:255 GOD - there is no deity save Him, the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsistent Fount of All Being. Neither slumber overtakes Him, nor sleep. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth. Who is there that could intercede with Him, unless it be by His leave? He knows all that lies open before men and all that is hidden from them, whereas they cannot attain to aught of His knowledge save that which He wills [them to attain]. His eternal power overspreads the heavens and the earth, and their upholding wearies Him not. And he alone is truly exalted, tremendous.2:255

 2:255 Allah. There is no god but He,-the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory).2:255
