لاَ إِكْرَاهَ فِي الدِّينِ قَد تَّبَيَّنَ الرُّشْدُ مِنَ الْغَيِّ فَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِالطَّاغُوتِ وَيُؤْمِن بِاللّهِ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقَىَ لاَ انفِصَامَ لَهَا وَاللّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ 2:256 |

دين (اسلام) ميں زبردستي نہيں ہے ہدايت (صاف طور پر ظاہر اور) گمراہي سے الگ ہو چکي ہے تو جو شخص بتوں سے اعتقاد نہ رکھے اور خدا پر ايمان لائے اس نے ايسي مضبوط رسي ہاتھ ميں پکڑ لي ہے جو کبھي ٹوٹنے والي نہيں اور خدا (سب کچھ) سنتا اور (سب کچھ) جانتا ہے2:256
