Ibrahim(pbuh), Dialog With Namrood

 أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِي حَآجَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فِي رِبِّهِ أَنْ آتَاهُ اللّهُ الْمُلْكَ إِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ رَبِّيَ الَّذِي يُحْيِـي وَيُمِيتُ قَالَ أَنَا أُحْيِـي وَأُمِيتُ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ فَإِنَّ اللّهَ يَأْتِي بِالشَّمْسِ مِنَ الْمَشْرِقِ فَأْتِ بِهَا مِنَ الْمَغْرِبِ فَبُهِتَ الَّذِي كَفَرَ وَاللّهُ لاَ يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ 2:258

بھلا تم نے اس شخص کو نہيں ديکھا جو اس (غرور کے) سبب سے کہ خدا نے اس کو سلطنت بخشي تھي ابراہيم سے پروردگار کے بارے ميں جھگڑنے لگا. جب ابراہيم نے کہا ميرا پروردگار تو وہ ہے جو جلاتا اور مارتا ہے. وہ بولا کہ جلا اور مار تو ميں بھي سکتا ہوں. ابراہيم نے کہا کہ خدا تو سورج کو مشرق سے نکالتا ہے آپ اسے مغرب سے نکال ديجيئے (يہ سن کر) کافر حيران رہ گيا اور خدا بےانصافوں کو ہدايت نہيں ديا کرتا2:258

 2:258 ART THOU NOT aware of that [king] who argued with Abraham about his Sustainer, (simply] because God had granted him kingship? Lo! Abraham said: "My Sustainer is He who grants life and deals death." [The king] replied: "I [too] grant life and deal death!" Said Abraham: "Verily, God causes the sun to rise in the east; cause it, then, to rise in the west!" Thereupon he who was bent on denying the truth remained dumbfounded: for God does not guide people who [deliberately] do wrong. 2:258

 2:258 Hast thou not Turned thy vision to one who disputed with Abraham About his Lord, because Allah had granted him power? Abraham said: "My Lord is He Who Giveth life and death." He said: "I give life and death". Said Abraham: "But it is Allah that causeth the sun to rise from the east: Do thou then cause him to rise from the West." Thus was he confounded who (in arrogance) rejected faith. Nor doth Allah Give guidance to a people unjust.2:258
