See, What Happened to Those who Denied

 وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ بَطِرَتْ مَعِيشَتَهَا فَتِلْكَ مَسَاكِنُهُمْ لَمْ تُسْكَن مِّن بَعْدِهِمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا وَكُنَّا نَحْنُ الْوَارِثِينَ 28:58

اور ہم نے بہت سي بستيوں کو ہلاک کر ڈالا جو اپني (فراخي) معيشت ميں اترا رہے تھے. سو يہ اُن کے مکانات ہيں جو اُن کے بعد آباد ہي نہيں ہوئے مگر بہت کم. اور اُن کے پيچھے ہم ہي اُن کے وارث ہوئے28:58

 28:58 And how many a community that [once] exult­ed in its wanton wealth and ease of life have We destroyed, so that those dwelling-places of theirs – all but a few - have never been dwelt-in after them: for it is indeed We alone who shall remain when all else will have passed away! 28:58

 28:58 And how many populations We destroyed, which exulted in their life (of ease and plenty)! now those habitations of theirs, after them, are deserted,- All but a (miserable) few! and We are their heirs!28:58
