وَمَا مُحَمَّدٌ إِلاَّ رَسُولٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِ الرُّسُلُ أَفَإِن مَّاتَ أَوْ قُتِلَ انقَلَبْتُمْ عَلَى أَعْقَابِكُمْ وَمَن يَنقَلِبْ عَلَىَ عَقِبَيْهِ فَلَن يَضُرَّ اللّهَ شَيْئًا وَسَيَجْزِي اللّهُ الشَّاكِرِينَ 3:144 |

اور محمد (صلي الله عليہ وسلم) تو صرف (خدا کے) پيغمبر ہيں ان سے پہلے بھي بہت سے پيغمبر ہو گزرے ہيں بھلا اگر يہ مر جائيں يا مارے جائيں تو تم الٹے پاؤں پھر جاؤ؟ (يعني مرتد ہو جاؤ؟) اور جو الٹے پاؤں پھر جائے گا تو خدا کا کچھ نقصان نہ کر سکے گا اور خدا شکر گزاروں کو (بڑا) ثواب دے گا 3:144

3:144 AND MUHAMMAD is only an apostle; all the [other] apostles have passed away before him: if, then, he dies or is slain, will you turn about on your heels? But he that turns about on his heels can in no wise harm God - whereas God will requite all who are grateful [to Him].3:144

3:144 Muhammad is no more than an apostle: many Were the apostle that passed away before him. If he died or were slain, will ye then Turn back on your heels? If any did turn back on his heels, not the least harm will he do to Allah. but Allah (on the other hand) will swiftly reward those who (serve Him) with gratitude.3:144
