وَكَأَيِّن مِّن نَّبِيٍّ قَاتَلَ مَعَهُ رِبِّيُّونَ كَثِيرٌ فَمَا وَهَنُواْ لِمَا أَصَابَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ وَمَا ضَعُفُواْ وَمَا اسْتَكَانُواْ وَاللّهُ يُحِبُّ الصَّابِرِينَ 3:146 |

اور بہت سے نبي ہوئے ہيں جن کے ساتھ ہو کر اکثر اہل الله (خدا کے دشمنوں سے) لڑے ہيں تو جو مصبتيں ان پر راہِ خدا ميں واقع ہوئيں ان کے سبب انہوں نے نہ تو ہمت ہاري اور نہ بزدلي کي نہ (کافروں سے) دبے اور خدا استقلال رکھنے والوں کو دوست رکھتا ہے3:146

3:146 And how many a prophet has had to fight [in God's cause], followed by many God-devoted men: and they did not become faint of heart for all that they had to suffer in God's cause, and neither did they weaken, nor did they abase themselves [before the enemy], since God loves those who are patient in adversity;3:146

3:146 How many of the prophets fought (in Allah's way), and with them (fought) Large bands of godly men? but they never lost heart if they met with disaster in Allah's way, nor did they weaken (in will) nor give in. And Allah Loves those who are firm and steadfast.3:146
