وَإِذْ أَخَذَ اللّهُ مِيثَاقَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ لَتُبَيِّنُنَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلاَ تَكْتُمُونَهُ فَنَبَذُوهُ وَرَاء ظُهُورِهِمْ وَاشْتَرَوْاْ بِهِ ثَمَناً قَلِيلاً فَبِئْسَ مَا يَشْتَرُونَ 3:187 |

اور جب خدا نے ان لوگوں سے جن کو کتاب عنايت کي گئي تھي اقرار کرليا کہ (جو کچھ اس ميں لکھا ہے) اسے صاف صاف بيان کرتے رہنا. اور اس (کي کسي بات) کو نہ چھپانا تو انہں نے اس کو پس پشت پھينک ديا اور اس کے بدلے تھوڑي سي قيمت حاصل کي. يہ جو کچھ حاصل کرتے ہيں برا ہے 3:187

3:187 AND LO, God accepted a solemn pledge from those who were granted earlier revelation [when He bade them]: "Make it known unto mankind, and do not conceal it!" But they cast this [pledge] behind their backs, and bartered it away for a trifling gain: and how evil was their bargain! 3:187
