ذَلِكَ مِنْ أَنبَاء الْغَيْبِ نُوحِيهِ إِلَيكَ وَمَا كُنتَ لَدَيْهِمْ إِذْ يُلْقُون أَقْلاَمَهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ يَكْفُلُ مَرْيَمَ وَمَا كُنتَ لَدَيْهِمْ إِذْ يَخْتَصِمُونَ 3:44 |

(اے محمد?) يہ باتيں اخبار غيب ميں سے ہيں جو ہم تمہارے پاس بھيجتے ہيں اور جب وہ لوگ اپنے قلم (بطور قرعہ) ڈال رہے تھے کہ مريم کا متکفل کون بنے تو تم ان کے پاس نہيں تھے اور نہ اس وقت ہي ان کے پاس تھے جب وہ آپس ميں جھگڑ رہے تھے 3:44

3:44 This account of something that was beyond the reach of thy perception We [now] reveal unto thee: for thou wert not with them when they drew lots as to which of them should be Mary's guardian, and thou wert not with them when they contended [about it] with one another.3:44
