 وَإِذْ أَخَذَ اللّهُ مِيثَاقَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ لَمَا آتَيْتُكُم مِّن كِتَابٍ وَحِكْمَةٍ ثُمَّ جَاءكُمْ رَسُولٌ مُّصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَكُمْ لَتُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهِ وَلَتَنصُرُنَّهُ قَالَ أَأَقْرَرْتُمْ وَأَخَذْتُمْ عَلَى ذَلِكُمْ إِصْرِي قَالُواْ أَقْرَرْنَا قَالَ فَاشْهَدُواْ وَأَنَاْ مَعَكُم مِّنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ 3:81

اور جب خدا نے پيغمبروں سے عہد ليا کہ جب ميں تم کو کتاب اور دانائي عطا کروں پھر تمہارے پاس کوئي پيغمبر آئے جو تمہاري کتاب کي تصديق کرے تو تمھيں ضرور اس پر ايمان لانا ہوگا اور ضرور اس کي مدد کرني ہوگي اور (عہد لينے کے بعد) پوچھا کہ بھلا تم نے اقرار کيا اور اس اقرار پر ميرا ذمہ ليا (يعني مجھے ضامن ٹہرايا) انہوں نے کہا (ہاں) ہم نے اقرار کيا (خدا نے) فرمايا کہ تم (اس عہد وپيمان کے) گواہ رہو اور ميں بھي تمہارے ساتھ گواہ ہوں 3:81

 3:81 AND, LO, God accepted, through the prophets, this solemn pledge [from the followers of earlier revelation]: "If, after all the revelation and the wisdom which I have vouchsafed unto you, there comes to you an apostle confirming the truth already in your possession, you must believe in him and succour him. Do you" - said He - "acknowledge and accept My bond on this condition?" They answered: "We do acknowledge it." Said He: "Then bear witness [thereto], and I shall be your witness. 3:81

 3:81 Behold! Allah took the covenant of the prophets, saying: "I give you a Book and Wisdom; then comes to you an apostle, confirming what is with you; do ye believe in him and render him help." Allah said: "Do ye agree, and take this my Covenant as binding on you?" They said: "We agree." He said: "Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses."3:81
