 كُلُّ الطَّعَامِ كَانَ حِـلاًّ لِّبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ إِلاَّ مَا حَرَّمَ إِسْرَائِيلُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تُنَزَّلَ التَّوْرَاةُ قُلْ فَأْتُواْ بِالتَّوْرَاةِ فَاتْلُوهَا إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ 3:93

بني اسرائيل کے ليے (تورات کے نازل ہونے سے) پہلے کھانے کي تمام چيزيں حلال تھيں بجز ان کے جو يعقوب نے خود اپنے اوپر حرام کر لي تھيں کہہ دو کہ اگر سچے ہو تو تورات لاؤ اور اسے پڑھو (يعني دليل پيش کرو) 3:93
