 اللَّهُ نَزَّلَ أَحْسَنَ الْحَدِيثِ كِتَابًا مُّتَشَابِهًا مَّثَانِيَ تَقْشَعِرُّ مِنْهُ جُلُودُ الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ ثُمَّ تَلِينُ جُلُودُهُمْ وَقُلُوبُهُمْ إِلَى ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ ذَلِكَ هُدَى اللَّهِ يَهْدِي بِهِ مَنْ يَشَاء وَمَن يُضْلِلْ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ هَادٍ 39:23

خدا نے نہايت اچھي باتيں نازل فرمائي ہيں (يعني) کتاب (جس کي آيتيں باہم) ملتي جلتي (ہيں) اور دہرائي جاتي (ہيں) جو لوگ اپنے پروردگار سے ڈرتے ہيں ان کے بدن کے (اس سے) رونگٹے کھڑے ہوجاتے ہيں. پھر ان کے بدن اور دل نرم (ہو کر) خدا کي ياد کي طرف (متوجہ) ہوجاتے ہيں. يہي خدا کي ہدايت ہے وہ اس سے جس کو چاہتا ہے ہدايت ديتا ہے. اور جس کو خدا گمراہ کرے اس کو کوئي ہدايت دينے والا نہيں 39:23

 39:23 God bestows from on high the best of all teachings in the shape of a divine writ fully consistent within itself, repeating each statement [of the truth] in manifold forms [a divine writ] whereat shiver the skins of all who of their Sustainer stand in awe: [but] in the end their skins and their hearts do soften at the remembrance of [the grace of] God. Such is God’s guidance: He guides therewith him that wills [to be guided] whereas he whom God lets go astray can never find any guide 39:23

 39:23 Allah has revealed (from time to time) the most beautiful Message in the form of a Book, consistent with itself, (yet) repeating (its teaching in various aspects): the skins of those who fear their Lord tremble thereat; then their skins and their hearts do soften to the celebration of Allah's praises. Such is the guidance of Allah. He guides therewith whom He pleases, but such as Allah leaves to stray, can have none to guide.39:23
