يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ أَوْفُواْ بِالْعُقُودِ أُحِلَّتْ لَكُم بَهِيمَةُ الأَنْعَامِ إِلاَّ مَا يُتْلَى عَلَيْكُمْ غَيْرَ مُحِلِّي الصَّيْدِ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌ إِنَّ اللّهَ يَحْكُمُ مَا يُرِيدُ 5:1 |

اے ايمان والو! اپنے اقراروں کو پورا کرو. تمہارے ليے چارپائے جانور (جو چرنے والے ہيں) حلال کر ديئے گئے ہيں. بجز ان کے جو تمہيں پڑھ کر سنائے جاتے ہيں مگر احرام (حج) ميں شکار کو حلال نہ جاننا. خدا جيسا چاہتا ہے حکم ديتا ہے 5:1

Lawful to you is the [flesh of every] beast that feeds on plants, save what is mentioned to you [hereinafter ]: but you are not allowed to hunt while you are in the state of pilgrimage.
