Allah(swt), told us to make us realize

 أَلَمْ يَأْنِ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَن تَخْشَعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ لِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَمَا نَزَلَ مِنَ الْحَقِّ وَلَا يَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِن قَبْلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَمَدُ فَقَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ 57:16

کيا ابھي تک مومنوں کے لئے اس کا وقت نہيں آيا کہ خدا کي ياد کرنے کے وقت اور (قرآن) جو (خدائے) برحق (کي طرف) سے نازل ہوا ہے اس کے سننے کے وقت ان کے دل نرم ہوجائيں اور وہ ان لوگوں کي طرف نہ ہوجائيں جن کو (ان سے) پہلے کتابيں دي گئي تھيں. پھر ان پر زمان طويل گزر گيا تو ان کے دل سخت ہوگئے. اور ان ميں سے اکثر نافرمان ہيں57:16

 57:16 IS IT NOT time that the hearts of all who have attained to faith should feel humble at the remem­brance of God and of all the truth that has been bestowed [on them] from on high, lest they become like those who were granted revelation aforetime, and whose hearts have hardened with the passing of time so that many of them are [now] depraved? 57:16

 57:16 Has not the Time arrived for the Believers that their hearts in all humility should engage in the remembrance of Allah and of the Truth which has been revealed (to them), and that they should not become like those to whom was given Revelation aforetime, but long ages passed over them and their hearts grew hard? For many among them are rebellious transgressors.57:16
