فَإِذَا بَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ فَارِقُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَأَشْهِدُوا ذَوَيْ عَدْلٍ مِّنكُمْ وَأَقِيمُوا الشَّهَادَةَ لِلَّهِ ذَلِكُمْ يُوعَظُ بِهِ مَن كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَمَن يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُ مَخْرَجًا 65:2 |

پھر جب وہ اپني ميعاد (يعني انقضائے عدت) کے قريب پہنچ جائيں تو يا تو ان کو اچھي طرح (زوجيت ميں) رہنے دو يا اچھي طرح سے عليحدہ کردو اور اپنے ميں سے دو منصف مردوں کو گواہ کرلو اور (گواہ ہو!) خدا کے لئے درست گواہي دينا. ان باتوں سے اس شخص کو نصيحت کي جاتي ہے جو خدا پر اور روز آخرت پر ايمان رکھتا ہے. اور جو کوئي خدا سے ڈرے گا وہ اس کے لئے (رنج ومحن سے) مخلصي (کي صورت) پيدا کرے گا 65:2

65:2 And so, when they are about to reach the end of their waiting-term, either retain them in a fair manner or part with them in a fair manner. And let two persons of [known] probity from among your own community witness [what you have decided]; and do yourselves bear true witness before God: thus are admonished all who believe in God and the Last Day. And unto everyone who is conscious of God, He [always] grants a way out [of unhappiness],65:2

65:2 Thus when they fulfil their term appointed, either take them back on equitable terms or part with them on equitable terms; and take for witness two persons from among you, endued with justice, and establish the evidence (as) before Allah. Such is the admonition given to him who believes in Allah and the Last Day. And for those who fear Allah, He (ever) prepares a way out,65:2
