وَإِذْ أَسَرَّ النَّبِيُّ إِلَى بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِهِ حَدِيثًا فَلَمَّا نَبَّأَتْ بِهِ وَأَظْهَرَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ عَرَّفَ بَعْضَهُ وَأَعْرَضَ عَن بَعْضٍ فَلَمَّا نَبَّأَهَا بِهِ قَالَتْ مَنْ أَنبَأَكَ هَذَا قَالَ نَبَّأَنِيَ الْعَلِيمُ الْخَبِيرُ 66:3 |

اور (ياد کرو) جب پيغمبر نے اپني ايک بي بي سے ايک بھيد کي بات کہي تو (اس نے دوسري کو بتا دي). جب اس نے اس کو افشاء کيا اور خدا نے اس (حال) سے پيغمبر کو آگاہ کرديا تو پيغمبر نے ان (بي بي کو وہ بات) کچھ تو بتائي اور کچھ نہ بتائي. تو جب وہ ان کو جتائي تو پوچھنے لگيں کہ آپ کو کس نے بتايا؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ مجھے اس نے بتايا ہے جو جاننے والا خبردار ہے 66:3

66:3 And lo! [It so happened that] the Prophet told something in confidence to one of his wives; and when she thereupon divulged it, and God made this known to him, he acquainted [others] with some of it and passed over some of it. And as soon as he let her know it, she asked, "Who has told thee this?" - [to which] he replied, "The All-Knowing, the All-Aware has told me."66:3

66:3 When the Prophet disclosed a matter in confidence to one of his consorts, and she then divulged it (to another), and Allah made it known to him, he confirmed part thereof and repudiated a part. Then when he told her thereof, she said, "Who told thee this? "He said, "He told me Who knows and is well-acquainted (with all things)."66:3
