 واَسْأَلْهُمْ عَنِ الْقَرْيَةِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ حَاضِرَةَ الْبَحْرِ إِذْ يَعْدُونَ فِي السَّبْتِ إِذْ تَأْتِيهِمْ حِيتَانُهُمْ يَوْمَ سَبْتِهِمْ شُرَّعاً وَيَوْمَ لاَ يَسْبِتُونَ لاَ تَأْتِيهِمْ كَذَلِكَ نَبْلُوهُم بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْسُقُونَ 7:163

اور ان سے اس گاؤں کا حال تو پوچھو جب لب دريا واقع تھا. جب يہ لوگ ہفتے کے دن کے بارے ميں حد سے تجاوز کرنے لگے (يعني) اس وقت کہ ان کے ہفتے کے دن مچھلياں ان کے سامنے پاني کے اوپر آتيں اور جب ہفتے کا دن نہ ہوتا تو نہ آتيں. اسي طرح ہم ان لوگوں کو ان کي نافرمانيوں کے سبب آزمائش ميں ڈالنے لگے7:163

 7:163 And ask them about that town which stood by the sea: how its people would profane the Sabbath whenever their fish came to them, breaking the water's surface, on a day on which they ought to have kept Sabbath -because they would not come to them on other than Sabbath-days! Thus did We try them by means of their [own] iniquitous doings.7:163

 7:163 Ask them concerning the town standing close by the sea. Behold! they transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath. For on the day of their Sabbath their fish did come to them, openly holding up their heads, but on the day they had no Sabbath, they came not: thus did We make a trial of them, for they were given to transgression.7:163
