 إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِندَ اللّهِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِي كِتَابِ اللّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَات وَالأَرْضَ مِنْهَا أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ ذَلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ فَلاَ تَظْلِمُواْ فِيهِنَّ أَنفُسَكُمْ وَقَاتِلُواْ الْمُشْرِكِينَ كَآفَّةً كَمَا يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ كَآفَّةً وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّ اللّهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ 9:36

خدا کے نزديک مہينے گنتي ميں (بارہ ہيں يعني) اس روز (سے) کہ اس نے آسمانوں اور زمين کو پيدا کيا. کتاب خدا ميں (برس کے) بارہ مہينے (لکھے ہوئے) ہيں. ان ميں سے چار مہينے ادب کے ہيں. يہي دين (کا) سيدھا راستہ ہے. تو ان (مہينوں) ميں (قتال ناحق سے) اپنے آپ پر ظلم نہ کرنا. اور تم سب کے سب مشرکوں سے لڑو جيسے وہ سب کے سب تم سے لڑتے ہيں. اور جان رکھو کہ خدا پرہيز گاروں کے ساتھ ہے9:36

 9:36 BEHOLD, the number of months, in the sight of God, is twelve months, [laid down] in God's decree on the day when He created the heavens and the earth; [and] out of these, four are sacred: this is the ever-true law [of God]. Do not, then, sin against yourselves with regard to these [months]. And fight against those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God, all together-just as they fight against you, [O believers,] all together -and know that God is with those who are conscious of Him.9:36

 9:36 The number of months in the sight of Allah is twelve (in a year)- so ordained by Him the day He created the heavens and the earth; of them four are sacred: that is the straight usage. So wrong not yourselves therein, and fight the Pagans all together as they fight you all together. But know that Allah is with those who restrain themselves.9:36
