يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللّهِ مَا قَالُواْ وَلَقَدْ قَالُواْ كَلِمَةَ الْكُفْرِ وَكَفَرُواْ بَعْدَ إِسْلاَمِهِمْ وَهَمُّواْ بِمَا لَمْ يَنَالُواْ وَمَا نَقَمُواْ إِلاَّ أَنْ أَغْنَاهُمُ اللّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ فَإِن يَتُوبُواْ يَكُ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ وَإِن يَتَوَلَّوْا يُعَذِّبْهُمُ اللّهُ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَمَا لَهُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلاَ نَصِيرٍ 9:74 |

يہ خدا کي قسميں کھاتے ہيں کہ انہوں نے (تو کچھ) نہيں کہا حالانکہ انہوں نے کفر کا کلمہ کہا ہے اور يہ اسلام لانے کے بعد کافر ہوگئے ہيں اور ايسي بات کا قصد کرچکے ہيں جس پر قدرت نہيں پاسکے. اور انہوں نے (مسلمانوں ميں) عيب ہي کون سا ديکھا ہے سوا اس کے کہ خدا نے اپنے فضل سے اور اس کے پيغمبر نے (اپني مہرباني سے) ان کو دولت مند کر ديا ہے. تو اگر يہ لوگ توبہ کرليں تو ان کے حق ميں بہتر ہوگا. اور اگر منہ پھير ليں تو ان کو دنيا اور آخرت ميں دکھ دينے والا عذاب دے گا اور زمين ميں ان کا کوئي دوست اور مددگار نہ ہوگا 9:74

9:74 [The hypocrites] swear by God that they have said nothing [wrong]; yet most certainly have they uttered a saying which amounts to a denial of the truth, and have [thus] denied the truth after [having professed] their self-surrender to God: for they were aiming at something which was beyond their reach. And they could find no fault [with the Faith] save that God had enriched them and [caused] His Apostle [to enrich them] out of His bounty! Hence, if they repent, it will be for their own good. but if they turn away, God will cause them to suffer grievous suffering in this world and in the life to come, and they will find no helper on earth, and none to give [them] succour.9:74

9:74 They swear by Allah that they said nothing (evil), but indeed they uttered blasphemy, and they did it after accepting Islam; and they meditated a plot which they were unable to carry out: this revenge of theirs was (their) only return for the bounty with which Allah and His Messenger had enriched them! If they repent, it will be best for them; but if they turn back (to their evil ways), Allah will punish them with a grievous penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: They shall have none on earth to protect or help them.9:74
